Ferozepur, November 20, 2025:
In a major breakthrough in the high-profile murder case of Naveen Arora, son of senior RSS leader Baldev Raj Arora, the Ferozepur Police on Thursday arrested wanted accused Jattan Kalli after an encounter near Arifke Road close to Sodhiwala.

Police teams from DSP City, DSP DCA Unit and the City SHO had laid multiple checkpoints following specific intelligence inputs about Kalli’s movement in the area.

According to officials, Kalli arrived on a motorcycle at high speed and tried to evade the checkpoint. When signalled to stop, he allegedly opened fire on the police. One of the bullets struck the windshield of a police vehicle, narrowly missing the driver.

The police retaliated, injuring Kalli. He was overpowered and taken into custody before being shifted to Civil Hospital, Ferozepur, for treatment. A 32-bore pistol used in the firing was recovered from the spot. Investigators are examining whether the same weapon was used in Naveen Arora’s murder.

Earlier, the police had already arrested two accused — Kanav and Harsh — in connection with the case. With Kalli’s arrest, the number of accused held has risen to three.

Kalli, originally from Village Wadhani Jaimal Singh, had been staying in Bhattian Wali Basti, Ferozepur, for several months.

Senior officials, including SSP Ferozepur and SP (D), inspected the encounter site and directed a detailed forensic examination to ensure clarity on the sequence of events and the weapons used.
