Haryana Police Arrest 6,000 Criminals in 24 Days Under ‘Operation Trackdown’

Haryana Police’s massive state-wide crackdown ‘Operation Trackdown’ has completed 24 days, recording the arrest of 6,011 criminals, including 1,735 hardcore offenders. The operation began on November 5 and continues to intensify across districts.

On November 27 alone, police arrested 79 dangerous criminals and 297 other accused.


Major Actions Across Seven Districts

Fatehabad: Habitual offender arrested with illegal pistol

Fatehabad CIA arrested Rohit alias Roni, a habitual criminal, recovering a .32-bore pistol and live cartridge. Over 12 serious cases, including Arms Act, IPC, Gambling Act and Prison Act, were already registered against him.

Gurugram: STF nabs ₹5,000-reward criminal

Gurugram STF arrested Mukesh Kumar, a fugitive since a 2002 serious criminal case. Acting on a tip-off, STF caught him in Rohtak and handed him over to Shahabad police.

Kurukshetra: Chain-snatching accused arrested

Kurukshetra Crime Branch-1 arrested Ravi alias Jojo, wanted in a July 2025 chain-snatching case. He has an extensive record of 24 criminal cases, including theft, snatching, robbery, rape, and illegal weapons.

Gurugram: Six arrested with weapons

Gurugram Police arrested six accused—Salim, Sonu alias Blender, Sujit, Rahul alias Abhay Joshi, Sahil, and Ahsan Rana—recovering five pistols and one live cartridge. Many were previously wanted for murder, robbery, theft and arms offences.

Sirsa: Two wanted murder & robbery accused caught

Sirsa Police arrested Joginder Singh alias Gindi and Harminder Singh alias Happy, both carrying ₹5,000 rewards and involved in murder and armed robbery cases.

Kaithal: Criminal with pistol arrested

Kaithal Anti-Vehicle Theft Staff arrested Vijay alias Bhoot with a country-made pistol. He has nine cases including attempt to murder, riots, excise offences and illegal arms.

Rewari: Murder accused arrested within hours

Rewari Police arrested Ashok alias Baddu within hours of a fatal shooting. Police recovered the murder weapon and three live rounds. He has 12 prior cases under murder, NDPS Act, Arms Act and rioting.
