Ambala Firing: Masked miscreants shoot taxi driver in the leg

Ambala, known to be a generally peaceful city, has recently seen a rise in firing incidents. On Friday evening, another shooting was reported.

  • In the Laxmi Nagar area, two masked assailants opened fire on a man named Navneet, who works as a taxi driver.

  • The bullet hit Navneet in the leg, after which the attackers fled the spot.

  • Local residents rushed the injured man to the Civil Hospital, Ambala City.

Police action

  • Police recovered two empty cartridges from the scene.

  • Statements of the injured victim have been recorded.

  • According to Sub-Inspector Amar Singh, Navneet was sitting at his shop when the masked men arrived and fired at him.

Allegation of hospital negligence

  • Navneet’s family members alleged that even after three hours, doctors had not removed the bullet from his leg and were “just making him wait”.
