Patiala, March 20, 2025: Colonel Pushpinder Singh Bath’s family is set to move the Punjab and Haryana High Court after the Patiala police failed to name 12 officers in an assault case. The incident occurred on the night of March 13-14, when Colonel Bath and his son were allegedly beaten by police officers over a parking dispute.
Despite an FIR being filed on March 15, based on an eatery owner’s statement, the officers involved have not been identified. Jasvinder Kaur Bath, the colonel’s wife, revealed that the suspended officers admitted their involvement in a video call, but no action has been taken by Patiala SSP Nanak Singh.
The family plans to start an indefinite protest on March 22 outside the SSP and DC offices, demanding justice and accountability for the assault.
