Injured Man Dies After Green Belt Attack in Maloya Area; Family Protests Outside Police Station

Ravi alias Kalia, who was seriously injured in a sharp-weapon attack in the green belt area under Maloya police station limits on November 15, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Saturday night. He had been battling for life since the attack but passed away late at night.

Ravi alias Kalia was a resident of the area near the Maloya mosque. According to local residents, on the night of the incident, a group of youths suddenly attacked him, leaving him critically injured. His condition remained serious throughout the course of treatment.

Protest outside police station

As soon as news of Ravi’s death spread, family members and local residents gathered outside the Maloya police station and began raising slogans in protest.

The family alleged that they had provided the names of the attackers to the police, but claimed that no arrests have been made so far. They accused the police of inaction and demanded immediate arrests and strict action against those responsible.

Police officials said the case is under investigation and assured that appropriate legal action will be taken based on evidence.
