The Jaito Police have launched a special initiative to curb the illegal sale of China Dor, which has caused injuries to several birds and local residents in the area. Many wounded birds were found falling onto rooftops in the town and have since been shifted to the local gaushala for treatment.

Police to Use Children’s Assistance in Crackdown

DSP Jaito Sukhdeep Singh announced that the police will now adopt an innovative strategy: officers in civil dress, accompanied by children, will conduct surprise checks and raids to identify and take action against those selling China Dor secretly in the market.

He emphasised that vendors found in possession of the banned string will face strict legal action without any leniency.

Social Worker Voices Concern

Social worker Sandeep Loomba also met the DSP and shared his concerns regarding the rising injuries caused by China Dor, urging strong enforcement to protect both people and birds.
