Jalandhar witnessed a shocking incident of hooliganism near Nakodar Chowk on Wednesday evening, where a minor collision between two cars suddenly escalated into a violent attack.

According to information, the situation turned chaotic when a Fortuner SUV bumped slightly into another car. Instead of resolving the matter peacefully, several youths travelling in the Fortuner allegedly stepped out and launched a brutal attack on the other car’s driver. They also caused extensive damage to his vehicle, creating panic in the area.

Eyewitnesses reported that the moment the minor accident occurred, the Fortuner occupants became extremely aggressive. The victim said he stopped his car to discuss the situation calmly, but the youths attacked him without warning using iron rods.

“I thought we could talk and settle the matter, but they didn’t listen to anything. They immediately pulled out rods and started hitting my car,” the victim stated.

The assailants reportedly smashed the car’s windows, doors, and bonnet repeatedly, leaving the vehicle badly damaged. The victim also claimed that during the assault, the attackers snatched his car keys and fled the scene.

As soon as police received information, a team reached the spot and inspected the scene. An investigation is currently underway, and efforts are being made to identify and trace the accused.
