Punjab: Three Killed, Four Injured in Road Accident Near Jaito

Three people, including two women and a child, were killed and four others were seriously injured in a tragic road accident near Chandbhan village on Bathinda Road in the Jaito subdivision of Faridkot district on Monday evening.
According to the Chardi Kalan Welfare Service Society, Jaito, which provides round-the-clock ambulance and rescue services, the accident occurred when a family of seven or eight members was on their way to attend a wedding at Brar Palace, Jaito.
Initial reports suggest the driver may have lost control due to speeding, causing the car to crash into a roadside eucalyptus tree.
Rescue Operation & Hospital Referral
Meet Singh Meeta, president of the rescue organisation, said their team reached the spot immediately after receiving an emergency call.
“Three women were found dead at the scene, while three others were critically injured. Due to the absence of a doctor at Civil Hospital Jaito, the injured were referred to Civil Hospital Kotkapura,” he said.

Police Investigation Underway
Local police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident, though overspeeding is suspected to be the primary factor.
