Rajpura: SHO Suspended Over Alleged Lax Action in Roadside Dhaba Firing Case

Rajpura (Chawla): SHO Kirpal Singh of the City Police Station has been suspended and sent to the police lines. In his place, Inspector Gursewak Singh, SHO of the Sadar Police Station, has been given the additional charge of the City Police Station.
According to sources, the action was taken due to alleged negligence and slow investigation in a recent firing incident at a dhaba on the Rajpura–Sirhind Road. In the incident, the dhaba owner’s nephew, Paras, sustained bullet injuries. Senior officials reportedly took the suspension decision after finding delays and ineffective action during the probe.
