Red Alert in Punjab After Delhi Blast; High Alert in Chandigarh and Himachal

Chandigarh, November 11
Following the blast near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi, a red alert has been issued across Punjab. All Commissioners of Police (CPs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) have been directed to remain on high alert. Police forces have been deployed in crowded and sensitive areas, and checking of vehicles and suspicious persons has been intensified.

Authorities have urged the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police. Security agencies are continuously monitoring the situation.

The Chandigarh Administration has also declared a high alert as a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh DGP Ashok Tiwari has instructed police to increase vigilance along the border areas. All district SPs have been asked to strengthen security and conduct strict checking of vehicles entering from neighboring states.

Additional security has been deployed at major Shakti Peeths and temples in Himachal Pradesh. All station house officers (SHOs) and outpost in-charges have been directed to maintain a high state of alertness.
