Shahjahanpur | April 29, 2025
A shocking and violent incident occurred late last night in the Azizganj area of Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, when three brothers were shot by local criminals following a dispute. The attackers, led by a notorious local goon named Sheru, also set a pickup vehicle on fire after the shooting.
According to reports, the altercation began after an argument escalated, and Sheru opened fire on the three brothers—Kamlesh, Akhilesh, and Jitendra. Kamlesh was hit by the bullets and is in critical condition, requiring urgent medical treatment. He was referred to Lucknow Medical College due to the severity of his injuries. The other two brothers are currently being treated at the Shahjahanpur Medical College and their condition is stable.
After the shooting, the attackers set fire to the pickup vehicle, further intensifying the violence. Local residents, along with the fire brigade, were quick to respond and managed to control the blaze.
The incident appears to stem from an old land dispute between the families, as revealed by Kamlesh’s family. Sheru, known for his criminal activities, had been involved in similar conflicts in the past. Just a year ago, he was even arrested for firing outside the family’s house over a property dispute, though he was later released.
Following the attack, the Shahjahanpur Police began an investigation and launched a manhunt to arrest Sheru and his associates. Police Superintendent Rajesh Dwivedi visited the scene, assuring the public that the authorities were working swiftly to bring the perpetrators to justice.
At present, the area is calm, and police are working to gather more details about the motive behind the attack. Local authorities have promised strict action against the accused.
This attack has left the local community shaken, raising concerns about the increasing criminal activities and disputes in the region.
