Young Man Murdered in Fazilka’s Malakpura Village

Fazilka, March 22, 2025 – A shocking murder case has emerged from Malakpura village in Fazilka, where a 38-year-old man, Khushhal Chand, was found dead in a wheat field near a canal. The victim, a motorcycle electrician working near the Abohar bus stand, had gone missing the previous night. His body was discovered with multiple injuries caused by sharp weapons, raising suspicions of a brutal attack.

According to family members, Khushhal Chand did not return home on the night of March 21. Concerned about his absence, his relatives began searching for him around 11 PM. By midnight, they found his motorcycle abandoned on the road near the crime scene. Soon after, his lifeless body was located in a nearby field.

Local authorities, including DSP (D) Balkar Singh, arrived at the scene early in the morning, along with a forensic team to collect evidence. Preliminary reports suggest that the victim was attacked on his way home. The presence of deep wounds on his head and body indicates the use of sharp-edged weapons in the crime.

The victim’s brother, Ramesh Chand, stated that their family had no known enemies and could not comprehend the motive behind the murder.

“The police are investigating all possible angles. We will ensure that those responsible for this heinous crime are brought to justice,” DSP Balkar Singh said in a statement.

The case has sent shockwaves across the village, with locals demanding a swift investigation and justice for the victim. The police are currently examining CCTV footage and questioning suspects to uncover the truth behind the murder.
